Caroline Fillion

At the age of 45, judoka Caroline Fillion, of Baie-Saint-Paul, became the first person living with Down Syndrome to obtain a black belt in Canada. Today, I had the honor of handing her a certificate from the House of Commons to congratulate her on her achievement. In life, one must never stop believing in their dreams and Madame Fillion is the perfect example. A model of perseverance and surpassing oneself!
